LTG (ret) Darsie Rogers offers more than 20 years of senior executive experience leading adaptable and high-performing teams in solving challenging problems in uncertain environments. He has directed complex organizations ranging from small, specialized tactical units to leading more than 21,000 personnel. His extensive background includes leading and transforming elite organizations, including US Army Special Forces and Navy SEALs, eight-plus years of experience in the Middle East, organizational management, communication, and team-building skills.
As a Soldier in our Nation’s Army and Special Operations Forces Darsie served in the Pentagon and around the world, rising to the rank of three-star general at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency tasked with countering threats posed by weapons of mass destruction and improvised threat networks. This included oversight over extensive research, development, and testing/evaluation of critical programs including countering Unmanned Aerial Systems and hard-target defeat. In addition to overseeing daily operations, Darsie led organizational change, eliminating excessive bureaucracy by fostering interconnection outside of normal lines of authority and creating liaison networks to eliminate silos, synchronize and measure production and increase collaboration, resulting in a workforce united around a single compelling vision to solve even the most complex challenges.
Darsie’s military service saw combat through the dynamic and ambiguous environments of the Gulf War, Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn, and numerous contingency operations. The highlight being the design, implementation, and employment of the Iraqi Special Operations Counter-Terrorism Service, the only enduring military institution surviving US military departure in 2011 and the spearhead for the recent defeat of ISIS in Iraq. Later he was responsible for leading all US Special Operations in the Middle East where he routinely engaged with US Ambassadors and Government Agencies, regional partner nations, and senior foreign government dignitaries and officials to protect US national interest.
A universally recognized leader and team builder in the special operations and interagency community, Darsie has hands-on experience in the design and implementation of organizational change to achieve full-spectrum capability and improved efficiency to meet global customer requirements. Most importantly, he is a leader and mentor who recognizes the importance of positive leadership on an empowered workforce while promoting professional development and appropriate work/life balance.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University, a Masters of Arts from Louisiana State University, and a Masters of Science in Strategic Studies from the US Air Force War College.
