Capt. USN (ret) Richard Field is detailed to the Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), Office of the Secretary of Defense as a Program Manager. He runs a variety of programs in the areas of Navy Unmanned Technologies and Battle Management Aids and develops new program concepts to counter emerging threats.

Prior to arriving at ARLIS Rich worked for the United States Navy for 28 years as a Surface Warfare Officer and designated Naval Analyst. His most recent shore assignments included Program Manager, Analyst and Naval Liaison at SCO; Special Assistant and Naval Liaison at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency; support to the Strategic Analysis Section Head in the Campaign Analysis and Modeling Branch (N816) of the Chief of Naval Operations Assessment Division (N81); the Office of Secretary of Defense, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE); and as Second Fleet Tomahawk Officer.
