Ms. Meredith Hughes is a Principal Faculty Research Specialist at the University of Maryland Applied Research Lab for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS). She received her MA in Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation from the University of Maryland (UMD) in 2010 and her BA in Linguistics at UMD in 2008. Her research specializations are statistical modeling, experimental design, and aptitude measurement. Her work has focused on the development and validation of cognitive, perceptual, and other survey-based instruments. Ms. Hughes’ research interests center on identifying ways to individualize training paths and to use data science and visualization to approach real-world problems.
