Brianna Gist is a recent graduate from Georgetown University where she received her B.A. in Linguistics with double minors in Government and French. Originally from Chicago, IL, her interests center on Africa and the Middle East with a focus on peace, development, and security studies. She has previously served as an intern at the U.S. Department of State, Office of South Sudan and Sudan, as well as a Research Assistant at the Eurasia Center with their Uplifting Africa Program. Brianna speaks French, Spanish, and Arabic and is excited to work with the RISC Initiative in pursuing a career in defense and foreign affairs.
