
Valerie Novak is a senior faculty research specialist at ARLIS. She received her BA in Arabic at Georgetown University, a BS in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a MA in History at the University of Maryland, College Park, focusing on Middle Eastern history. Valerie's research interests include computational linguistics and natural language processing. Her recent work has focused on social media data in various languages.
