The Maryland Institute for Quantum Applications (MIQA) investigates how technologies such as quantum computing, networking, and sensing can lead to new strategic tools and systems designed to enhance national defense capabilities. Quantum science is complex, and MIQA’s team of physicists, engineers, and scientists applies a science-first approach to address challenges at the intersection of quantum technology and national security.
